Needs to be checked into. Thanks guys. Wouldn't be the 1st time the Boardwalk had an error on their website, I still remember the link to the US L/W vid on YouTube.

Ay oop Jamie.. we will probably be there about 8pmish I would have thought. There's a rock boozer just around the corner called the Dove & Rainbow thats open beforehand (so we'll probably have a couple in there first)and MAY open after (not sure - but its that kind of boozer haha.. dog rough but the ale's good and the music is definitely good).
To get to it.. stand outside Boardwalk and walk up the hill, before you get to the top of the road (about 25 yards) there's an Argos store on your right with an underpass/tunnel type thing just above it on the right. Go through there and there's a small square in front of you - the Dove & Rainbow is up on the topside to your left, you can't miss it.. 2 minutes from the Boardwalk anyway.
Other than that you would have to go to the clubs in town like The Casbah which is just down the road thats opposite the City Hall.. or the Corporation which is a bit deeper in to town. If you fancy any of those, and I'm in a fit state, I'll walk up there with you mate.

By the way.. though its a bit longer walk I reckon you'd prefer the Corporation over the Casbah.. it's specifically heavy rock in there whare as the Casbah is okay but can get a bit lairy at that time on a Saturday to be honest.. to many kids who can't take their ale. Dove & Rainbow would be ideal though if it's open.

Dove & Rainbow is the pub we went in pre show last time I was at The Boardwalk.

Also, last time I went there I recall Live/Wire didnt start their show until around 9.45pm.

Will probably end up in the Dove after if its open then, thing is our minibus is booked to pick us up outside of the Boardwalk at 1.00 so we cant venture too far from the venue.

Any idea what time Boardwalk itself stops serving?

Our bus leaves at 7.30 so would envisage we will be there between 8.00 and 8.15 ish.

Last time at the Boardwalk I remember there was a DJ on (calling people tossers for going home after the gig haha) and I'm sure we had a pint after the show.. but I'm pretty sure it's not open much after that.. there are other pubs in the vicinity but I doubt they'll open that late. There's late night cafes around. The pubs at the opposite side of the road are pretty much no-go areas.. Hen & Chickens in particular.. though if you've had stuff nicked in recent months you'll be able to buy it backk there haha. Dove tends to appeal to the younger rock fans so there's a good chance it'll be open well after the gig. There's the Bankers Draft at the top of the road on the corner.. thats a big un so may be open late too because thats the main drag up into town and opposite the tram stops etc
