Yeah thats interesting and useful site and info.. I had experience of a perking ticket issued by Private company on private land recently. Basically these people play fast and lose with the rules and they know it.
Bottom line is NEVER capitulate to a privately issued Parking ticket.. ALWAYS dispute it. The burben of proof is with the company AND (just as is the case with police camera issued tickets) can only prosecute and hold liable the Driver for any alleged offence.

You will find that over 75% of tickets do not withstand the scrutiny of an official tribunal. The wording to prove the offence is crucial and very complicated it works on the proviso that 70% of people pay up and the 30% who don't are an acceptable loss. The private ones are a total rip off and they use bullyboy tactics the truth is they can't affect your credit rating which is the main worry. For info the police now no longer issue parking tickets its all council enforced the police only would do obstruction. However the evidence required is still exactly the same and shall we say the council enforcers get alot less training than the police.
