Jane, You were THE nicest person I've ever met. Period, full stop.
Over a period of time you had been spending time with the band thru Tink and everybody warmed to your unassuming, honest, thoughtful nature.
You always showed an interest in everything we talked about both away from band issues and within. Your communication skills were also exemplary showing respect for everyone you spoke to and giving everyone your best ear and a curiosity and interest in every topic.
Just the perfect person to have around, even when us boring lads were talking mandrivel.
You came along and loved the music and the people in and around the band and for that we're all eternally grateful.
When it came to Jane the Merch lady jane was Live / Wires perfect Front Office Spokesperson and concierge.
An absolute Diamond.
Jane came to me after She'd started to run the Merchandising side of things with a plethora of Ideas to boost things and give people what she thought they'd like. Over two or three emails and lots of texts and phone calls she outlined her plans. Always respectful of any rebuttal I might offer.
The next gig came along and I considered all of her Ideas and told her that she should go ahead with everything and that I had faith with anything she put into place. The look in her eyes was priceless,
i could see the sweetshop in her eyes, she absolutely loved the merch and meeting evryone.
She sat by Tinks side and held his hand when he sat us down and told us the awful news of his coming battle with cancer, she was so strong. Outside the hotel that night I talked to her about how she was in all the turmoil. we shed tears, and I told her We'd be there for her because I felt that even though she had Tink we needed to let her know we all cared for Her. Her reply was that she would like to continue in the band even after Tink lost his fight with cancer and thru this legacy Tink would remain in Spirit. They are the most noble words I've ever heard.
