Lets see what gear's out there then... Guitarists, list your gear here. Guitars and amps only though, dont list effects racks, effects pedals, effects pancakes or indeed effects yorkshire puddings because as we all know, effects pedals (especially overdrive pedals) were invented by the devil as a way of turning otherwise good players lazy. Also, and this is not common knowledge, anyone who uses them will be stricken with Lobsterisimus Bumikisimus and possibly that wispy kind of hair that grows inexplicably around the ear canal.

Ah !, some nice stuff there CHM !
Those Valvestate VS100's are great amps. I used to have one myself. I used it for years in the pubs. Great preamp sound. About as close to a jcm800 i have ever heard from a solid state combo (the valve driven preamp certainly does the trick).
The Tokai strats and teles from that era were considered to be better than the fender equivalents as I recall. I have a 1980's telecaster 'fender made in japan' which is more or less a Tokai and it plays better than any of my other teles.
Again, Danelectro... surprising guitars these. Is the DC-59 the plastic one with lipstick pickups ? if so, I played one of them once and I thought it sounded very similar to a les paul. so much for the 'its in the wood man !!!' purists.

Yeah i like it, gets the sound i need and a good volume too!
I love the Tokai, seems to be the best to play out of all the guitars IMO.
Aye thats it, dont like the plastic too much but it gets a nice sound through an amp and nice and light too!
what gear do you have Shaun?

One x Peavey 75W amp with various effects blah blah blah and one x Dean Dime something or other guitar.
Reason Im very unknowledgeable about all this, only owned them for a week or so and they only cost me £1. Yes, I was watching Scuzz TV prior to Download festival and they had one of those competitions where you text in the answer and no one ever wins etc etc, well, on this occassion someone actually won and it was me. The prize was donated by Metal band Panic Cell who where brilliant regards it all and phoned me personally, the Amp wasnt part of the prize, they asked me if I had one, I said no, so they chucked one in as a bonus and it costs around £300 for the amp and it was brand new and boxed/labelled etc. Generous lads indeed.
So, I am now armed with an Amp that is way too loud for the house lol, does more things than I know or understand, 1 x guitar I cant play and 1 x 'Guiitar for Dummies' book !!!

It's not too bad. There are rather alot of knobs, but it helps to fine-tune your tone amazingly. Honestly, I can't even explain how much freedom this beauty gives you!
