Quo will always be No.1 for me, but their output from the 'comeback of '86' up until 1999 and 'Under The Influence, and onwards, was at best 'Dodgy', last 4 albums have had their special moments though, off to see them at Plymouth for the 50+ time in November, just can't beat 'em live still , each to their own as they say...

They're also No.1 in my books too Tudderz. I've been a fan since about 1974ish, but went many years not seeing, just listening!!!! Got back into the gigs in about 2001 and this years gigs will be about nos. 22 and 23!! Really love the 70's stuff and my only wish would be for Francis not to have quite so much song writing input, I find his obsession with Country music quite disturbing!!!!!! Heads Down.........Feet Apart........Let's Rock!!!!

I've just been listening to Status Quo on Richard Bacon's show on 5 Live this afternoon and sadly they have just said that Alan Lancaster is really not very well with MS, they met up with him on their last tour in Oz and he could hardly walk. Sad news indeed.

Good one BAd boy..but we all know which quo song iz best. Ive been telling Tudderz for years and i think he agrees. Big riff, good beat, awesome guitar solo, real foot tapper...simple but effective

I think that In The Army Now is a great song! Not too keen on the new one, but love the old one!
Was on telly at a Quo gig once too!
You have to be very quick tho! Pause it as soon as it starts, and I'm the one north east of the geezer with the orange t-shirt and cowboy hat!

Its one of those reunion gigs that should be done - the original 4 members get back together and play just the early stuff would be worth going to see!!!!

Not gonna happen sadly, appears Alan Lancaster is quite ill anyway sadly, but 70's Quo (like AC/DC in the 70's as well) IS the benchmark

Agreed Wavey, but the original cover of it in 1986 wasn't particularly good either, it was written by two Dutch brothers I believe called 'Bolland' Can't beat the annual 'pilgrimage' of a Quo gig though!
