Nice pics Kev, I'm sure they are special to you more than ever now.
Anyway I'll share a little story with you about that day. We got into the stadium a bit later than expected and I had arranged to meet up where Jane posted on here to be just in front of the sound tower and to the right when the support band was on (at the time it was supposed to be Thin Lizzy). So because my lazy lot were stolling down to the pitch side I quickly ran off the the meeting point before the support band finished to meet Jane and let her know we had arrived then go and round my crew up. After fighting my way through the crowd and got to the point, there was no one there. So I started off back again to find everyone whilst receiving a phone call from my friend rockgoddess of which I couldn't hear a word. When I got back, what she was trying to tell me was that whilst I was off looking for Jane, who had just turned up late, chatted to them and then shot off? Yes, Jane and Tink!
Dohhh, what were the chances of that happening!?!?

Hi Richie thats rotten luck mate,me,kc and lou got to the stadium early.when we got in lou raced off to the front only to come back after a few songs as she was getting crushed, me and kc thought no way are we going to the front after the lg arena gig lol. When the turn stiles opened I rushed in and got me and kc unreserved seating (not stupid)lol.anyway Jane rang kc to let us know they were there, then I spotted them and we asked them to join us and we gave up our seats for them,I needed to rock in the aisle anyway he he.I am so glad we had a chance to spend sometime with them chatting and laughing etc,it makes it even more special now.Jane asked me to take some pics of them and Tink wanted some pics of the small guns on the side of the stage of which I obliged.I was going to give them the pics this coming weekend along with some footage I took at redhill. I cannot stop welling up and my heart goes out to the band, the families and the close friends.Such a lovely couple.Always happy always smiling and always rocking...........Never shall I forget

Wonderful pics Kev, which brings me recalling another 'priceless# memory of Tink.
Back in April at The NEC for the DC' gig, we were on the floor, along with some other forum members including Scarborough, HV, Bennetts, Mansfield etc etc.
Tink and Jane arrived and Tinks face was lit up like a childs at Christmas, he enthusiastically told us how he had been allowed on the stage and belted out Jailbreak on Malcs guitar!!! Tink, in his usual kind manner then proceeded to share amongst us all some Malcolm guitar 'picks' that he had been given as a souvenir, I now hold these two picks very close.
Tinks face that day will live with me forever and is just how I want to remember the great bloke, I had a camera in my pocket that night and so wish I had caught this moment in time and Tink's absolute overwhelming happiness written on his face. Im sure the other members will recall this moment too with great fondness.
It was also the only time I ever heard Tink swear in front of Jane! He was so excited!

When Jane and Tink met up with kev and myself. she proceeded to tell me she had seen "The Basildon Crew" but somehow they had "Lost Richie"in the crowd somewhere, she continued to look out for you mate until DC hit the stage.. xx

That was typical of Jane, being caring and making everyone feel important. She was like the Princess Diana of Live/Wire. Thanks Karen for telling me, it makes me hurt a little bit more but in a comforting sort of way.

Aw how lovely I love that second pic of them Poor Jane she must have felt so devastated about Tink, it's horrible that she must have been suffering so much pain, cos she must have been. She loved him so much, that 2nd pic really shows that. Thank you for sharing your lovely photos Headbanger

The pics are lovely-and thats my last memories of Jane and Tink' smiling faces. To me (unaware of Tink's illness) they appeared to be probably one of the most relaxed and contented couples I have ever met. I remember that brief meeting without Richie -It's amazing how a very short an experience remains so very clear in one's mind-like a snapshot that will not fade. The main things I remember were they both seemed so relaxed, Jane's hugs and both Jane and Tink's beaming smiles that didn't seem to leave their faces, except when Jane realised that Richie wasn't there. It wasn't fair for Richie, as he really looked forward to seeing Jane, Tinks and the whole L/W family again. On Friday when I first read the news about Jane and Tinks, and the death of Jane I sat still, very motionless ( a very rare occasion for me) and pondered in a misty misty haze, thinking about 26th June and my last memories of when I saw Jane and Tink and these words came into my mind about Jane -they appeared from nowhere-so I just wrote them down to capture them and relate them to the images I had in my mind from that day and every time Jane stood at the merch stalls, where I bought a few t-shits, ties and horns and if it's ok I'd like to share them because the more I read the different messages on the forum the greater understanding I have of why they came into my mind
Jane You were and still are a beautiful person The presence of a shining star so bright You had a charismatic smile and look that softened The heart of anyone in your sight You had a special gift that was so very unique Unaware of the impact you made on others Genuine heartfelt communication you shared Enabling so many to so confidently believe They were so very special in your life And so you became so very special in theirs And that’s the way you will always be
the last email Jane sent to me after the Leicester gig 2008 finished with this
"Take Care and see you agin soon. Say Hi to Richie and everyone for me "
and that again shows how thoughtful and caring Jane was,
so I did
