Its annoying when you have a lovely meal but are then too full to enjoy the booze. ALways best to let the grub settle for a couple of hours. Then get the booze down you. A poo might also help clear out some space for your beer I always insist to the lads to have sosage and mash before a Live/Wire gig coz its not too heavy on the stomach and doesnt affect the boozing ;D It might also be better wavey if you have a night out with the missus on a seperate night to the lads haha just maybe ;D

Last nights Birthday activities have taken their toll. The chinese meal was very nice plus 2x lager then three more in the next pub then two more in the next and another three in the last port of call. Double figures............way too much for Shakey Tinkerbell was on gin and tonics and swiftly went to doubles as the night and conversations developed with old friends and family alike. Point of no return was reached when I lost the ability to stand up around midnight and my giddy and happy wife helped me into a taxi. stumbling into bed fuly dressed and not caring I suggested to the wife that something could still go into a hole even in the state we were in........ And so it did.......Donna's head down the Toilet LOL I'm today marked Fragile, and Donna is vegetating on the sofa with the mother of all hangovers.

You know how it is folks... You pop in town for a 'couple' at 330pm, you say you'll be home respectable o'clock, you get the picture... Well I got home 00.15pm, good mate of mine got put in a taxi at 11pm, not knowing what day of the week it was, i was not too bad at all, even when I woke up at 0645am, the trick it seems(apart from the obvious pitfalls) is doing kareoke for all bar two hours tea break(which involved moving to two other pubs and ..errm not eating anything! I sang my little heart out(Let There Be Rock/Whole Lotta Rosie/You Shook Me All Night Long being the 'DC tracks performed to my adoring public ), it was a jolly pleasant affair I have to say...and no hang over this morning either, although tonight I seem a little tired To 'calm' the frenzied masses down I finished with 'Creep' by Radiohead, which whatever way you look at it, usually gets great looks when you sing the 'Run, Run' bit towards the end of the song What was this thread all about? 40 an' bloody well determined to enjoy his holiday ;D
