Will it be England's year at last? Well.....
1) North Korea make their second Finals appearance this year. The other was in 1966
2) Both 1966 (England) and 2010 (S. Africa) sees Group A (or Group One) consist of the host nation, France, Mexico and Uruguay.
3) In 2008, Spain ended a 44 year wait without a trophy, by winning Euro 2008. 1966 just happens to be 44 years ago in 2010.
4) In 1966, England had an Italian coach, his name was Alfredo Ramsi. Or something like that.
Well, stranger things have happened........

If everyone just turned there tvs off and watched no news for 3 weeks and then looked again on World Cup Final day...England would be in the Final.
Trouble is with all the hype everytime they play, it scares the shit outta them and the pressure is so much they bottle it

From what I hear there's a squad splitting sex scandal about to hit the headlines that - if true - would explain why they played as if they'd never seen each other before

From what I hear there's a squad splitting sex scandal about to hit the headlines that - if true - would explain why they played as if they'd never seen each other before Been reported today that the whole thing is a hoax. Emails and texts have been circulating all over the country. Beside's, Stevie G's missus doesn't even have a sister

Well another World Cup concludes... Worthy winners this time I thought... Unlike the Cheating Itallians 2006.. But have to say found the final a bitter anti climax..
as for England... They performed Exactly as I expected.

After what I saw this year, I think it'll be a long time before we win it again....... that's if we ever do!

because its 4years between tournaments I don't think time is relevant... teams change and lots can be achieved or lost in 4 years... Look at France... 98 winners 02 out group stage 06 runner up 10 out group stage again....
England need to use the time to make football the most important thing... but they wont. Too much money, mansions, sports cars and Bimbo WAGs to distract them..

The final was an anti climax you had the 'Hatchet' Dutch v the 'four mouths straight at the Ref each foul'Spanish, but the best team DID win, in the end...how the Hell did the poor excuse of a footballer Van Bommel stay on the pitch in ANY of the game he played in??? Thought the South Africans did a first class job of it too....

Dutch deserved eveything they got. Possibly the worst final ever? or was Italia 90 final even worse?

Italia 90 Final WAS terrible, believe me. At least there were a few chances in this years match. To think, the Dutch could have nicked it, especially with that chance Robben had early in the second half with that one-on-one. Had Iniesta not scored four minutes from the end of extra-time, we would probably have had a penalty shoot-out which the Dutch may have won. Would have been an injustice - the best team won in the end. Before the final, if anything I wanted the Dutch to win but am pleased they didn't.... they're famed for Total Football but instead we got Total Thuggery
