hi guys, here's a couple of shots. the first one is Jane at Falmouth, May 2008 Still smiling - a lesson to us all, and Tink, Leamington 2009, from a superb photo collection by Andrew Lock, (who Tink respected immensely) which arrived last week, so it had to be aired because it personifies him, his on stage aura and his enduring smile. The past year without them has been so tough, but we salute family, friends and loved ones who were lucky enough to have spent more time with them in life than the guys in Live/Wire. Their loss and void since the tragedy must have been far deeper than ours. Also at this poignant time we salute Shaun Phillips and Angie. How dificult it must be week on week to deal with the reminders of such an emotive event and how it touches them in a unique way. They've both found it in themselves to step in, step up and keep this beautiful thing going. Tink was diagnosed with cancer a few months before the accident ,sadly it had hold of him and was not gonna let go. He made it our absolute perogative to continue and widen the parameters and horizons of the band in the ways we'd discussed. More European shows, a bigger stage set up, more cannons, more songs and a bigger and more expansive show. It's been a hard road since July 22nd 2009 and the band have found it tough going trying to come to terms with losing two people who were dream tickets as friends and people. They were both fervent disciples of the Live/Wire cause and the least we can do for them is raise our performance week in week out and remember those smiles, the vivacity, friendship, intellect that made them so special.........Lest we forget. If there is an afterlife then I'm at ease with the knowledge that friends will be waiting there. God bless you both Eddie

It was around this time, on this very date one year ago when the phone rang and I was told the terrible news!!! I will never forget that feeling! Myself and Paul were lucky enough to spend 4 whole days with them just the week before helping them move to a new home they were setting up together.... I would sit up till 3/4 in the morning chatting with Tink and then up with the larks chatting to Jane about their plans for whatever short future they were going to have together as a couple. I will alway treasure that time... the last time I ever saw them was at the arts centre gig at Kendle.... I nearly left without saying goodbye... but I remembered and went back to the venue... Jane gave me a hug and a kiss and Tink said "come here you big Geordie hemmer" and gave me a big hug also.... I miss my friends!!!!

Spent yesterday evening in the garden with a glass of wine just looking up at the sky and the white clouds just strolling by... As I very often do. Just can't shake this loss.
Never forgotten xXx
