If we're talking 'nice' films.. my guilty pleasure would have to be Genevieve. Its a late 50s early 60s film (i guess) about a vintage car race from London to Brighton. Proper Sunday afternoon job it is. That an Half A Sixpence with Tommy Steele.. class

yep all the above are superb.............. will hay, moore marriott and graham moffat........... they are all classics remember "how highs (hau hii's) a chinaman?" i don't know ? "no ! how highs (hau hii's) a chinaman?" and so on......... must get some will hay films for the boys to watch Shakey

Went to see Australia with Mrs Wave today - FLIPPIN ECK its bloody brilliant!!! Big sweeping action filled 50s style romantic rubbish. Absolutely classic mindless film going genius. Go see it with the woman you love (or fella if you're a Sheila etc)..

Yes, brilliant film, went to see it with my mum after xmas. Great story, great scenery and a very hot Drover!!! Had the tissues out a few times.....

Nevermind CRM ... Each time i watch 'Goodbye Mr Chips' I feel the tears welling up inside too! ;D Watched the remake staring Martin Clunes on ITV again over Christmas, and just couldn't help myself! 'Under the hardrocking image, I'm just an ol' softie' 40 an' not caring, just being honest!

Watched my Christmas prezzie DVD - Dark Knight last night. STONKINGLY great film for sure. I really wish I'd seen it at the cinema though. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker has to be one of the finest film baddy performances of all time... proper disturbing. Great great great.

changing tack slightly, Me and a mate went to see Showgirls at the flicks back in the nineties, We stayed middle middle. A group of four adolescents kids strolled in. One said 'where shall we sit ?' another said 'lets sit at the front so we can lick the screen !!' Best part of the day shakey

Aw gonna get someone to take me to see 'Australia' then I LOVE Goodbye Mr Chips On NYE I watched ' It's a wonderful Life' U cant beat it I love it, along wif Goodbye Mr Chips, Mrs Miniver and Random Harvest, and Jolson Sings again, or the Jolson story - and all the films that my Dad loved - An Affair to Remember, all the classic Bette davis / Joan Crawford films (I remember whatever happened to baby jane) Im such a hopeless romantic - I just love all the old films I love the guns of navarone too - god I love everything!"!
