Eh? I did take her... s'good innit? I sort of want to see Valkyrie next, except its got Tom Cruise in it who I just can't take seriously as a World War 2 German officer.

I absolutely insist that you go and see 'Frost/Nixon'. If you only see one film this year make it this one. Went tonight to the preview screening and its ASTOUNDING.. gripping film making, not ONE person got up or walked about during the whole film.. you could have heard a pin drop. Frank Langella as Nixon is jaw dropping as is Michael Sheen as Frost.. he has to get the international recognition he deserves after this. Phenominal.

Went to see Slum Dog Millionaire on Sunday.
Will be hoping that it wins Oscars for everything. A really brilliant film.
Extremely shocking..............not the fun film I was expecting at all, hadn't read any write ups beforehand, best way to see a film. Won't say any more for those who haven't seen it, but do go if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed.

I saw Slumdog Millionaire the other week. First time i've been to the cinema since the summer (saw a few in Costa Rica, £1 tickets thankyou!)
Its so great to have a low budget film, with a really good story, go from film festivals straight to the top, cos it deserves it. More art centre type of film than anything. One of those films actually worth seeing in the cinema for sure

thought saw 1 was a great film had you guessing right til the end with lots of twists and turns along the way.legends of the fall was another great film as well as the road to perdition hanks plays the part really well in that one.when i was a young lad i remember(for those that are old enough)watching a horror film called salems lot with david soul starring its almost laughable now but i had many many weeks of night mares after it to the extent that i used to get out of my bed and run around the house screaming my head off ,the bit that got me was the little lad floating up to the window ,showing his vampire fangs and scratching at the window for his mate to let him in and later when the old man hears creaking up stairs in his house ,when he goes up he sees his friend ...now a vampire rocking to and fro in a rocking chair...ooooooooo gave me the heebiegeebies

Hey - I think Salem's Lot is still pretty good. IMHO They either get Steven King absolutely wrong (see Christine - brilliant book - awful film) or absolutley right, as in Salem's Lot (fabulous story), Stand By Me, Pet Sematary and even It (despite the fact that both the book and the film end disappointingly with the baddy being a huge plastic spider).
The whole premise for It is pretty unsettling. Everyone in the world is scared by clowns aren't they? Tim Rice as Pennywise is freaky. Like I say, shame it ends so poorly.
The best Stephen King film is still Carrie though.. they nailed that one. I think it's because its so simple.

I'm not a big cinema goer as I struggle with hearing so tend to wait til films are out on DVD however 'Milk' was recommended last night and think I might have to make an exception.
It has won a host of awards already and is tipped for an Academy Award. It is a biopic about the USA's first openly gay politician starring Sean Penn. A quirk of this casting is that Penn is recognised as being an extreme homophobe in Hollywood circles.
Will let you know if it lives up to the recommendation.
